  • Abstract
    A codebook adaptation scheme using learning vector quantisation (LVQ) which has highly discriminant ability for speaker adaptation is presented. The recognition accuracy for new speakers can be improved over the VQ adaptation method based on the minimum distortion criterion using this scheme.
