Abstract
A simple method for the characterisation of radiated fields is presented that is based on the application of the spherical wave expansion. The spherical wave coefficients are solved in a new manner by using an iterative matrix (IM) method. The method can be used to decrease the number of field samples required to characterise the radiated field compared to the conventional matrix method. The performance of the IM method is illustrated with simulated field measurements for mobile phones
