Abstract
This work presents a modelling method compute eddy currents of thin shells, by using a new method which only needs to mesh the “mean surface” of the shell. It in based on the finite element method, coupled with a boundary integral method, taking the electric field as variable. Numerical and analytical solutions are compared for different values of the skin depth and CPU time given for several meshings of a spherical domain using the symmetrical property of the problem
