Abstract :
A homogenization technique for harmonic Maxwell equations in a composite periodic medium is given. This technique consists in using the finite element method to solve Maxwell equations with adequate periodicity conditions on a “basic cell” of the structure. We describe this “cell problem” and report on numerical results for some cell structures
