Abstract :
Th method of moments (MoM) is combined with the generalized multipole technique (GMT) to analyze electromagnetic scattering problems. The proposed hybrid method GMT-MoM improves the results obtained by GMT and reduces the computational effort in comparison with conventional MoM techniques. Current density distributions have been obtained for a two dimensional scatterer illuminated by either a TM or TE near field source, showing the accuracy and effectiveness of this hybrid approach
