Abstract :
Defense Needs in the 1980´s Nuclear and conventional military hardware have for the last generation been the lynchpins in defense strategies. Theses tools provided a feeling of national security by offering a capability to forestall acts of aggression and to destroy an enemy´s civilian population in the event of nuclear attack.
