Abstract :
A treatment of the magnetic reluctivity tensor in the formulation of the finite element analysis is proposed. Utilizing linear transformations, the elements of the magnetic reluctivity tensor under a rotating magnetic field are approximately stabilized in the inclination angle to the rolling direction and the axis ratio for any locus of the magnetic flux density vector. It is shown that the expression with the linear transformations is applicable to the analysis and the necessary data can be considerably reduced in comparison with the conventional expression
