Abstract
This paper describes a maximizing decision making scheme employing fuzzy set theory for the optimal design of induction motors. The fuzzy maximizing decision making is combined with a motor synthesis method, which can reflect the designer´s experience, view and judgment. The proposed algorithm is applied to a multiobjective optimization of an induction motor design
