Abstract :
Switched reluctance motors have many positive impressions over induction or permanent magnet DC motors. However, a few very critical negative impressions (such as acoustic noise and vibration) prevent the wide application of this machine. Through experiments, the authors found that the level of noise was even lower than that of similar-sized squirrel cage-type induction motors
