Abstract :
In order that radiations emitted from actinides may be detected simultaneously and separately, the authors have applied a dual-parameter technique to phoswich detectors. The output data from the phoswich detectors were analyzed in three dimensions, i.e., event number, pulse height, and rise time. Simultaneous counting of alpha-rays, beta/gamma-rays, and neutrons was consequently made possible with the two types of phoswich: ZnS(Ag)/6Li glass and ZnS(Ag)/anthracene
