Abstract
Most engineering colleges seek to orient their students to engineering by requiring them to take a college-wide introductory course. At the University of Notre Dame, this introductory course is titled Engineering Concepts, and is required of all freshmen intending to major in engineering. The content of and philosophy behind this course will be used as the basis for this discussion at engineering education.
