  • Abstract
The reviewer feels this book [The Transmission-Line Modeling Method: TLM, by C. Christopoulos, Piscataway, IEEE Press, 1995, ISBN 0-7803-1017-9] is easy to read, well structured, and to the point. The author has participated in the development of TLM from its early beginnings, in the 1970s, and has significantly contributed to its theory and applications, particularly in the areas of electromagnetic- wave propagation and EMIIC. This book reflects his expertise in, and his mastery of, the subject. It is comprehensive, develops the subject in a logical and progressive manner, and emphasizes physical understanding and traditional engineering practice rather than abstract formalism. This facilitates the understanding of the method, and cultivates good technical judgment required for its intelligent application in engineering design.
