  • Abstract
    A novel non-local active contour model for fast texture segmentation is proposed. Two factors, redundancy description of texture features and smoothness of evolution contours, are investigated. Correspondingly, a new energy functional is introduced to adaptively handle the texture regions at different scales. A convex multistage method is adopted to solve corresponding minimisation problems. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is very fast and efficient.
