Abstract :
A novel compact, conformal, dual-band, dual-polarisation antenna is presented. This antenna is capable of generating two distinct frequencies with different polarisation and radiation pattern characteristics: a monopolar mode for terrestrial cellular communication and a circularly polarised, upward oriented pattern for satellite mobile communication. Bandwidths of 2 and 4%, respectively, have been obtained in the two modes.
