Abstract :
A panel discussion of “Concerns of Young Engineers” inspired an extremely successful student activities meeting on March 31, with the IEEE Buffalo Section as sponsor. Brief introductory statements by the panel members — experts from Bethlehem Steel, Calspan, New York Telephone, Westinghouse, and the State University of New York at Buffalo — were followed by questions, and answers, on such topics as résumés, job opportunities, fringe benefits, and salaries. Approximately 80 students from IEEE Student Branches at SUNYAB, Alfred State College, and Buffalo State attended the meeting. Other interested Sections can obtain details from the panel moderator: A. S. Gilmour, Jr., Professor and Chairman, Department of Electrical Engineering, State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, N.Y.
