Abstract
When it comes to issues of impending controversy, Spectrum seems to behave as a lightning rod. This, we believe, is as it should be. One hopes that Spectrum — in its role as ombudsman for the member with respect to the Institute — can accept the lightning bolts with reasonable impunity and, where possible, direct the discharges in suitable and efficient directions.
