Abstract :
This paper describes a new video front-end processing system having improved resolution of digitizing. For this improvement two techniques are investigated, one is the summation of previous three A/D conversion results, and the other is 10° shift sampling. Next, an experimental system using a programmable logic device was developed and evaluated. As a result the noise level was decreased by 10 dB. Hence the validity of the proposal was confirmed. Because of this improvement, this front-end processing system does not require any analog automatic color controller and the proposal is suitable for an SOC (system on a chip), reducing the scale of the analog circuit
