Abstract :
This paper describes phase noise analysis of the double-conversion heterodyne TV tuner system for 8VSB digital terrestrial broadcasting. It is proposed an accurate simulation model of the phase noise of the PLL-based frequency synthesizers. Using the proposed model, we evaluate the performance of the digital TV receiver system in terms of symbol error rate in conjunction with the matched filter and the frequency-and-phase locked loop
