Abstract :
This paper presents a method to correct for measurement error, which can be introduced by current and voltage transformers. Motivated by the development of an accurate real-time power quality analyzer, a compensation scheme was developed and implemented as a digital filter. An example of the reduction of measurement error from the uncompensated to the compensated case is given. It is shown that the compensated system provides reduction by a factor of more than 1000 in the measurement error
