Abstract
For the optional LC compensator design, the RMS (root mean square) values of the sources voltage harmonics and the load susceptances, have to be measured. It is shown that the optimal capacitance of such an LC compensator can be determined in the time domain without this information. This can be done by an iterative procedure which requires that the scalar product of the load current and the derivative of the capacitor voltage and their RMS values be measured
