Abstract :
By adaptively detecting abrupt changes in the channel tap coefficients and requesting the training sequence to be transmitted whenever changes are detected, an adaptive retraining equaliser has been designed. The performance of the equaliser is evaluated by numerical simulations, and the results show that the equaliser outperforms the traditional periodical retraining equaliser and requires fewer training sequences.
