Abstract :
As part of Alstom Energy Technology Centre´s research into the application of advanced control to gasifiers, the company issued a ´benchmark challenge´ to the UK control community. This culminated in an informal seminar which provided an opportunity to compare and discuss the application of a wide range of techniques to this industrially relevant problem.
