            Abstract : 
An analytical method for calculation of the capacitance of shielded transmission-lines, commonly twisted-pair cables, using a more practical representation of the shield geometry than the more common cylindrical case is presented. Comparison with an existing method for cylindrical shields and with measurements is presented
