Abstract
Power electronic management described in this paper aims to save energy in vehicle electrical system on a bus level by applying an economic framework for treating energy as a priced commodity. By treating energy as a commodity, it is possible to establish cost effective and optimal buffering behaviour as well as minimum cost energy routing. The system has been implemented and verified using Matlab/Simulink. The total verification model of the management system is divided into three layers: vehicle model layer, management system model layer, and abstraction model layer containing the various mathematical models used by the management system to obtain optimal solutions.
