  • Abstract
The authors consider important problems in biomedical sensor development, including physical configuration, packaging connection to the remaining system, power supply, simultaneous sensing of multiple variables, signal processing, and costs. In addition to using conventional sensing technologies, biomedical sensors have recently incorporated microelectronic, signal processing, and optical techniques. Traditional sensing approaches have been used in ways, and novel technologies have been developed for biomedical sensors
