Abstract
A plane E-polarized wave scattering problem on the double-periodic lattice, composed of passive dipoles, is considered. At normal incidence the problem is solved correctly - all the boundary conditions are met. Using the iterative method, an approximate value of the lattice reflection coefficient is given in an analytical expression. Numerical results and their physical analysis are represented.
