Abstract
This paper provides insight into the basics of radiation from unused elements in MF broadcast directional arrays. It then sets forth the criteria for suppressing that radiation and suggests a method for meeting those criteria. Component values are determined by post processing the NEC output file. Numerical examples demonstrate both the simple and complex cases. Some limitations to practical applications are identified and areas for further study are mentioned
