  • Abstract
    How excited would you be if someone offered you a new digital phone receiver that weighed 170 tons and had a data rate of 0.1 Hz? My guess is, probably not too much. How about if the receiver had a truly universal reach, staying in touch under deep seas on planet Earth, or even somewhere out there in the galaxy, in ET country? Well, now you may be giving it a second thought.
