Abstract :
Main properties of terahertz electromagnetic waves and importance of its application in various radar and communication systems are considered. Klystrons as one of most perspective types of power sources are examined and its ability to work in terahertz band is discussed. Examples of millimeter and submillimeter bands klystrons are described.
