Abstract :
A unified approach to the analysis of single-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors, reluctance synchronous motors and induction motors, having capacitors in their auxiliary windings, is presented. Steady-state performance characteristics of these motors are thus obtained with a single computer program which ultimately yields a fair comparison of the motors
