Abstract :
We report a method to improve the determination of integrated optical component characteristics. For this purpose, we use index liquids as an optical cladding, to find the optimized refractive index of waveguide top layer. Since it avoids the using of a lot of samples to adjust the component parameters, the implementation of this technique allows the gain of time. Moreover, for a given component structure, we can rapidly determine the best performances of the integrated component.
