Abstract
The protocol allows a 1.0 transmission probability for newly transmitted packets, while p for retransmitted packets. Compared to the protocol in which each packet is always transmitted with the same probability p , it shows better performance, especially when the channel traffic is light, as demonstrated by numerical results
