Abstract :
A permanent magnet brushless dc (PMBLDC) motor requires rotor position sensors for proper operation, as the electrical excitation of stator windings must be synchronous to the rotor position. These sensors result in extra cost, additional space to install and are temperature sensitive. Now a day´s position sensorless operation by various methods is the subject of intensive research. This paper presents a comprehensive study on position sensorless control of PMBLDC motor.
