  • Abstract
Interactions of low-frequency harmonics produced by shipborne semiconductor converter equipment with other electric consumers connected to the mains supply system is evaluated. Investigations on board three vessels delivered empirical data for current and voltage harmonics levels under varying ship service conditions. Statistical evaluations lead to the proposal of a model for a mains impedance simulation network. Harmonic response characteristics can be predicted with the assistance of computer simulation
