Abstract :
The performance of an adaptive innovations-based maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) receiver for differentially encoded M-ary differential phase shift keying (M-DPSK) in frequency-flat Rayleigh fading channels is presented. The proposed receiver can be implemented without the knowledge of the channel statistics, yet reveal a robust demodulation performance against the uncertainties associated with the channel dynamics
