Abstract :
Cancellation of noise from an audio signal in digital domain is a biding and trendy task. The paper focuses on the comparative study of FPGA based multirate Cascaded Comb Filter along with a delta sigma modulator and Adaptive Filter using Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) algorithm. The comparison is done in the domain of noise shaping, device utilization and power consumption. Aim of this design is to reduce the noise from audio signal as well as to enhance the output signal quality with better throughput and lesser hardware usage. These filters are designed and simulated using Xilinx system generator and implemented using FPGA VIRTEX 5 ML506.
