Abstract :
The present paper concerns the results of experimental investigations into terahertz frequency range of continuous-wave and pulsed reflex klystrons, the results are obtained by IRE NAS of Ukraine, in the 1960s. The current design of reflex nanoklystrons operating in the frequency range of 1-3 THz at operating voltage of ~ 1000 V is patented in 2010 - 2014. The nanoklystrons incorporate an electron-optical system with a matrix field emitter. This system is designed to form a laminar electron flow.
