Abstract :
Based on the idea of rough sets, the paper systematically discuss attribute importance, the similarity between attribute values and the similarity between objects in an information system, and propose their corresponding measuring methods respectively. These measuring methods are very useful to study characteristics and properties of different information, and they can be used to dispose the questions of cluster analysis and uncertainty reasoning in an information system.
