Abstract
The propagation of electromagnetic TE waves in the waveguide of arbitrary cross section with space-time periodically modulated filling is considered. The wave equation with periodic coefficients for the potential Hz is solved with help of the double-scale expansion method. The solutions of the wave equation on the transition boundary between the stable and unstable regions are obtained
