Abstract :
Bluetooth modules integrated into mobile phone systems are required to be compact and cost-effective. However, the band pass filter is relatively large compared to the other components within the RF module. In this paper, a compact realization of an ISM bandpass filter suitable for system-in-a-package applications is introduced by utilizing a novel meander configuration. To reduce the fabrication cost, the miniaturized filter is implemented using organic materials technologies (Rogers/FR4 based multilayer structure), instead of on ceramic materials (Awai, 2000)
