Abstract
N-modular redundancy are widely used in the ultra-reliable real-time fault-tolerant systems. Previous NMR systems often relay on special hardware and special operating systems, and the relationship between the critical tasks and operating system is tight, so it´s difficult to system´s porting, updating and maintenance. In this paper, we present a new task model for COTS-based NMR systems. By taking full advantage of COTS operating system´s kernel function, this model not only satisfies the real-time requirement, but also masks the complexity of NMR system, and gets rid of the defect of previous systems. We also analyzed the real time performance of the tasks that adopt this new model.
