Abstract
The Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) has established an independent accredited test laboratory for testing and certifying photovoltaic (PV) modules to meet PV industry and user needs. The module performance certification is part of a broader FSEC program on PV product certification, which also includes performance evaluation of small stand-alone systems, and design approval of residential PV grid-connected and stand-alone systems. This paper deals with the requirements, implementation and status of FSEC´s PV module certification program. FSEC laboratory is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and the certification program is approved by PowerMark Corporation (PMC).
