A survey on grey image processing

Exploration of the techniques based on new theories and ideas is helpful to expand the research fields of image processing. This paper reviews a novel image processing based on grey system theory. After the introduction of several basic theories and the current research situation, much attention is paid to the development, the key problems and the matter concerned with grey image processing. Furthermore, some principles of possible applications and future directions are presented and discussed systemically. Finally, conclusions show grey image processing is promising both in theory and practice.
