Abstract
A high-voltage three-phase ZVZCS DC-DC converter with low voltage stress is presented in this paper. The voltage stress on the primary switches is only one-third of the input voltage. By using the phase shift pulsewidth modulation (PWM) and secondary snubber, four of the six primary switches are operating with zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and two of them are operating with zero-current switching (ZCS), in order to reduce the switching loss. Moreover, the converter has wide soft-switching range. Analysis of the converter´s operation is given. A 2.2 kW, 1000 V/110 V dc-dc converter prototype has been built and tested. Experimental results are favorably compared with theoretical predictions.
