Abstract
This paper presents a new hysteresis current control technique for a three-phase inverter based on magnitude and time errors. Twelve comparators measure current errors in three phases in such a way to minimise the switching frequency and to provide a better solution to decide adjacent voltage vectors. The advantage of this method is a fast decision and simple control circuit to select the switching states in "ABC" coordinates without prediction of back emf or the derivative of the reference currents. Theoretical analysis and simulations results verify the proposed method.
