Abstract :
Understanding of operation principles and development of the most part of the dielectric element base (DEB) used at present for construction of an increasing number of various passive components for the millimeter wave range has begun from examination of dielectric waveguides (DWG). To date, other types of dielectric structures (DS) are included into DEB besides DWG: resonators, functional devices including multi-arm ones; antennas, radiators and feed elements; integrated circuits; diffraction devices and waveguide-beam transducers, as well as their sets - diffraction systems. Nevertheless, the new phenomena were studied earlier as phenomena in DWDs, which are typical for all of these DSs. Problems and methodology for parameter measurement in wide-format DWDs of rectangular cross-section are widened and deepened in this report. Methods, resonant settings and specific technologies of research carrying out are described.
