Abstract :
Engineering design of transducers for half-shielded dielectric waveguides (and non-radiating waveguides in particular) is a very complex problem. Production of microwave units, which are based on semi-shielded dielectric waveguides, requires the development of designing methods for this class of devices. One of the solutions to this problem is a set of empirical methods for prediction of semi-shielded dielectric waveguides transducers parameters of different structures. In this paper we suggest engineering solutions, which allow meeting the requirements for this class of devices while keeping the minimal size of transducers.
