Abstract
For the problem of big torque ripple in direct torque control of permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM DTC), a PMSM DTC method based on fuzzy control is proposed. The hysteresis controller in conventional PMSM DTC is replaced by a two-input fuzzy controller. The output of the fuzzy controller is added to a vector table to decide which vector should be applied. The method not only has the advantage of ease to implement, but also has the advantage of simplicity. Simulation result shows that the new control strategy decreases the torque ripple drastically and enhances the control performance.
