Abstract
Using the controllability of the coupling coefficient in the indirect coupling photodetector, an intramodulated photodetector has been developed. Theoretical and experimental results show that an alternating photocurrent can be exported from this device when it is illuminated by a beam of light with constant intensity. Thus, the intramodulated photodetector can replace a measurement system composed of a mechanical chopper and conventional photodetectors in simplifying measurement conditions and extending its applications to the detection of weak light, environmental monitoring, and medical diagnosis.<>
