Abstract :
Summary form only given. We analyse the magnetoelastic behaviour of Co/sub 72.5-x/Fe/sub x/Si/sub 12.25/B/sub 15/ (x=0; 3; 4.35; 5; 7 at.%) glass covered amorphous wires having the metallic core diameter and thickness of the glass cover between 20-25 /spl mu/m and 5-7 /spl mu/m, respectively, as a function of the annealing conditions. The amorphous state of the samples was examined by X-ray diffraction. The magnetic behaviour was analysed by a fluxmetric method. In order to determine the saturation magnetostriction, the small angle magnetization rotation (SAMR) method was used. The samples were investigated in the as-cast state and after d.c. and a.c stress current annealing. During treatments the current intensity, tensile stress and treatment time values were varied between 20-90 mA, 300-800 MPa and 3-180 minutes, respectively.
